Wish that I would have heeded the aforementioned reviews--I had to return my size 12, and reordered an size 14...and it fit wonderfully !!! The color (purple) was beautiful, and the pleats were very becomeing, much to my surprize.

Buy this dress... you can't go wrong! I have Adriana Papell's shutter pleat dresses in various colors & sleeve lengths. They are the most flattering dresses I've ever purchased. My boyfriend LOVES them on me because they are both sexy yet understated & classy. Every time I wear one, the dress gets tons of compliments.
I am a size 14 with an hourglass shape & lots of curves... the dress hugs every one of them. What I love about the dress though is that the shutter pleats conceal figure flaws. i thought they would make me look bigger but they actually are extremely flattering. I have some version of this dress in fuschia, wine, eggplant, black, cream & blue. The more colors she makes, the more I will buy.
One other thing... i travel a lot for business... these dresses travel well in a garment bag. just hang them up when you arrive at your destination & you'll have no wrinkles.
I wear dresses almost exclusively and these Adriana Papell shutter pleat dresses are absolutely the best dresses in my packed closet. LOVE THEM!

I ordered this dress is both an 8 and a 6 and kept the 8 because the 6 sleeves seemed a little tight. The dress itself is very forgiving because of its stretch and concealing pleats. I wore it to a wedding but expect to find more venues for it. I wear a 34C and the cleavage was okay but may use some dress tape next time. Saw our local news anchor wearing it twice on tv. The blue color is lovely. I packed it for flying and when I took it out of the suitcase there wasn't a single wrinkle.

This dress is very flattering and I really wanted to keep it. I even ordered it in two colors (pansy and blue), so I could see which one I liked the best. Unfortunately, there is a very stiff tape at the hemline on the sides of the dress. If you don't wear hose, it would be okay, but since I would be wearing hose, the tape would snag them. I'll be sending both of these dresses back for that reason. What a shame someone didn't notice this when the dress was made!
