With an hourglass/pear shaped figure, I look best in things which complement my waist. My stomach is not as flat as it once was and this dress still calls attention to a smaller waist without revealing everything.
It is fairly sexy because of the figure hugging aspect, but is still conservative enough to wear to a wedding or church.
I would recommend going up a size if you are in between. I am often an 8 in something with "give" in the hips, but I was definitely a 10 in this one.

I am 5'6" and weigh 118 lbs. i ordered this dress in May for a wedding I'm attending at the end of June. Per the fit recommended by Nordstrom's, I ordered a size 4 in Fiesta, which is my usual dress size. When I finally got the dress, it was tight aroumd the ruched waist and I couldn't even zip it. The side zipper is plastic and even on the hanger, the zipper is very difficult to close. I drove 40 miles to return the dress and found they did not have it in a size 6, not even online. I kept checking the website and was able to reorder it over a week ago. When the dress arrived, I tried it on and the size 6 was also uncomfortably snug in the ruched area around the waist and the zipper had the same issue. I measured the area and it was 23 inches which is the waist for size 00! Now the color I wanted is out of stock in a size 8. After reading reviews for Suzy Chin's similar dresses on this website and another major retailer, the manufacturer has a quality control problem with sizing. I am very disappointed that I have less than two weeks to the wedding and will have to find another dress for the wedding, in addition to making another 40 mile trip to return the dress.

I am a size 14, heavy in tummy and hips and this dress is very flattering. I have it in black and have worn it to work and dinner out. The neckline can open and show a little too much cleavage for the office, so clip one of those panel things to your bra and you'll be fine. It's a comfortable dress too, doesn't pull or tug or pinch.

The dress is flattering and runs a little small-I went with one size bigger. The cap sleeves have no give in them. When you lift your arms, especially the side with the zipper, the sleeves cut into your shoulders. The side zipper was difficult to pull up. I sent it back.
