This is a snugly fitting dress on me. I have curves, and my biggest "problem" is my size 36DDD bust line. This dress flattered me in every sense, without showing too much cleavage, and it camouflaged any issues I have in the abdomen area. I bought a size 12, which is my usual size, though some makers force me into their 14s! This dress was such a pleasure to slip into. The length is a little longer, as is the style now, and the neckline set off my one-of-a-kind necklace beautifully. I love the color (I'm a brunette), and am delighted with the all around effect.

I really had high hopes for this dress, in my search for the "Basic Black Dress"... Not too risqué for work. Chic enough for cocktails and the theatre. I had the same problem as a previous reviewer - issues with the tucks/pleats in the front below the waist ruching causing the skirt to fall in an unattractive "poochy" way. I wear a size 4-6, on the slender/athletic side & have no issues with "bumps". I re-examined the photo of the dress online and in the photo the structure is more darted than tucked/pleated. Too bad there was this change in the construction of the dress. I loved the bodice construction. Sadly, the dress is going to be returned and the hunt goes on!

The dress was pretty but a little long. The biggest problem was when I put the dress on. I tried to zip up the dress but the zipper did not work. I tried and tried but to no avail. It zipped when the dress was on the hangar but not on the body. I had to return the dress.
