I have two of these dresses now and they're wonderful for work or dressed up for business dinner situations. The merlot is a really nice purple/red color. I'm 5'10'' and 150lb and the 8 fits perfectly
This dress does a lot for my apple shape! I find the sleeves a little tight, but the waistline is lovely and the drape is great. The v-neck does not cut too low. I have worn this both with a fitted jacket and a shark-bite cardigan; both add to the comfort of a very short-sleeved dress in an air-conditioned office.
I ordered this is a size 12 in Blue. The fabric was nice, the color was beautiful. Unfortunately, the 12 was too big for my 5'2 1/2" frame. The neckline hung too low and there was too much material from the neck to the waist causing it to bunch up around the waist. These were not problems with the dress-they were problems caused by me ordering the wrong size! I will re-order in 12 Petite. Nordstrom's Easy return to stores makes for stress free shopping!
