Not as wide as my Kauffman Manitou's

I decided to order these after trying to replace my Kauffman Sorel Manitou's that are now 20+ years old. I tried on some Caribou's in the same size as my Manitous but with a high instep, it was difficult to get my foot in and out of the boot without great difficulty. They were wide enough so thought I'd try these shorter Tivolis...they are too narrow for my foot so I'm back to the Manitous which just need a retread but otherwise are still wonderful boots.
Construction is lighter for these boots and they don't have the wonderful felt liners that I would love to have. Overall, they are a scaled-down version of my Manitous. I guess that makes it easier to walk but up here we have to trudge through snow most of the winter so not real practical for me.

fantastic shoes

My daughter specifically requested the shoes for college - she is in PA and the winter is gruesome with lots of snow. She absolutely loves the shoes - they keep her feet warm and on top of that very fashionable style. We had been searching snow boots that would meet the requirements and the Sorel boots are definitely it.

Love my SOREL!

I leave in a tropical, so it's summer right now and a I didn't try my new SOREL yet. I'll have to wait until next month, time for our ski holidays in Europe. Anyway, I loved my boots ( second pair from SOREL). They're very light , comfortable and true to size!!!

Warm, Comfortable, and Light

I love theses boots. They are very warm even on very cold days with strong winds. I bought a size larger than normal because I have found if a Sorrel shoe is my exact size, it fits, but where the rubber meets the upper, softer material of the boot, the boot digs into my foot. Not so this time, they are comfortable and light.
