My husband has had a number of Allen Edmonds shoes and has tried just about every other brand, both more and less expensive as well (he wears suits to work everyday) and these are just the best out there. You have to break them in, but then they end up being super comfortable and last forever. A very good investment.
The quality of this show is simply the best. From the time I took them out of the box and put them on I knew I had discovered something special. From the uppers to the sole the craftsmanship is excellent. The fit is spot on and the comfort is the best.

Great shoes. They are classic black dress shoes. These days, you can get away with less formal shoes, so I considered the ones with rubber soles, but ultimately decided to stick with the classic.
