THIS WILL BE MY HUSBAND'S FIRST PAIR OF AE WINGTIPS. THEY WERE RECOMMENDED/REQUIRED FOR HIS JOB AT THE STATE CAPITOL. HE HASN'T STARTED WEARING THEM YET BUT THINKS ONCE HE GETS USED TO THE LEATHER BOTTOM HE'LL LIKE THEM.
Customer service was excellent; nice to have return label in case it's needed. I returned in person. Again, excellent service. I had followed suggestion to go half size smaller but was not necessary so I needed smaller size.
Shoes have classic style and are very nice. Unfortunately I was wrong about one thing; higher price does not necessarily buy comfort; the shoes are very hard. My son has not been able to wear them for more than a couple of hours a day. He actually got blisters in the back of his feet.
I rubbed the back with wax and that has helped, but after about 6 times, he is still not able to wear them for the whole day. I just hope it will get better

He says Allen Edmond shoes are the best value based on his experience with repairing soles and heels of all different brands of dress shoes. These shoes are well constructed and very comfortable. They form to your feet. In addition, if you take care of the shoes they will last a very long time.
