These are a very high quality shoe, that look like they will last for years. Note that there is a break-in period. At first I thought they weren't fitting correctly because there was some slipping in the heel. I took them to Nordstroms and the salesman reassured me that they were the perfect fit, and that over time, the leather would conform to the shape of my foot, and that slipping would go away. He was right. I suspect I am still in the break-in period however, as they are not as yet the most comfortable. They aren't uncomfortable, but I am ready to take them off after a long day. I assume that will change with more wear. I do recommend this shoe.
I am extremely disappointed in the quality of the McAllister Wingtips I ordered. The first pair that came in were clearly rushed and looked like the sole was never finished. I brought them to the store to compare and even the display shoe looked better than mine! I returned this pair and reordered hoping that there was just a flaw in this particular pair. The customer service member was very helpful and offered free two day shipping on the new pair and matched the original price I paid. When the second pair came in, I was again disappointed. This time, the stitching on the back side of the shoe looked like it was tearing. This is a very nice looking shoe and there have been so many good reviews I don't understand why the pairs I have ordered are not the quality that others have mentioned! To make matters worse, these are the shoes I was planning on wearing to my wedding which is quickly approaching. I paid too much money for these shoes for them to have so many issues. I'm wondering if it's worth it to try ordering a third time??
Allen Edmonds makes some of the best shoes you will ever buy. These fit true to size, and will require a bit of a break in period. Highly recommended you maintain the leather; doing so will make these last for years.
Love these! They are exactly what I was looking for to go with my husband's navy suits. Even my daughters noticed them and loved them. My husband has a wider foot, and has to go all the way to EEE with AE shoes, but they work!
