Great looking shoes and value, but...

My right shoe is not breaking in like the left one and it is painful to wear after 5k steps. I am trying to stretch it and soften the leather but it still hurts.

Leather and design has changed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was buying this to replace my old pair but they changed the design and the leather. I don’t like the new look of either one. I think the shoe looks quite cheap now. Unfortunately I may be stuck trying to find a used pair online or trying to get mine repaired.

I’ve read from reviews here and other sites online that AE was slipping in quality but I decided to purchase these in dark chili anyways. Overall, shoes are great but both shoes have an area where the leather near the stitching is not flush with the leather below it. It’s kind of like tape or a sticker starting to peel.
