Perhaps it was just my pair of shoes, but they fit perfect for the first 10 to 15 wears. However, the back portion of both shoes (on both sides near the ankles) started to stretch out and bulge excessively. And before you think or ask...yes I use a shoe horn, yes I unlace each time before taking off, and yes I use a shoe tree. This is the only pair of dress shoes I have ever owned to do this. The shoes basically look like someone with fat ankles wore them for a month and returned them to me. Needless to say, I'm disappointed because I expected more.

Simply the best shoes I own

These shoes can be worn with a suit or jeans. They ooze style. I have a wider food, and they fit amazing. One of the few shoes I've owned where I feel they get more comfortable over time. I wear these shoes regularly and after close to a year they look new after a polish still. If I could wear only one Allen Edmonds shoe, it would be the McCallister.

Better to buy something else

I purchased a pair of black McAllister shoes at full price from a local dealer thinking these would stand the test of time. I wore these shoes not more than three times per week. Less than two years later, they've worn a hole through the sole. You'd think at nearly three times their competitor's price they'd be able to make a shoe that would last at least as long as the competition. Save your money and buy something else
