My typical shoe size (In Vans, Nike, etc): 8.5 What I ordered: 8.5E in the color walnut
As my first proper dress/business casual shoe, I wasn't sure of what to expect but my goodness, they are a beautiful pair of shoes. The level of detailing and materials that went into these shoes are astounding. The quality of the materials used for the Strands certainly beats the quality on my Banana Republic shoes. Plus, AE has a great reputation for resoles, so many people online report keeping their shoes for years if not decades.
I feel the color walnut is one of the best, if not the best, color for the Strands. It truly shows the craftsmanship of these shoes and is versatile enough in a casual/business casual environment. If you were buying these for a more formal environment, I would probably recommend black or brown.
Unfortunately for me, I may have ordered a half size too large as the widest part of my foot doesn't line up with the widest part of the shoe (My feet falls short just by a little bit). Also I get a bit of a heel slip walking around on carpet. So I will exchange these for a size 8 EE and see how that goes. Wish me luck!

Prosa classic
The "Strand" cap-toe oxford is my favorite dress shoe. Looks great with a suite, jacket and slacks, khakis or jeans. Exudes class and style. I was so happy to see that Allen Edmonds is making this style in several colors--I bought a pair in Walnut then another in Black. A must for the well-dressed man.

Love these Strands

This is my fourth pair of AE shoes, all of which I've bought at Nordstrom's. I've had two pair recrafted which I also highly recommend. Wear an 11D in the Park Avenue, and an 11.5D in the Delray. But the Stands fit me best at 11.5. Beautiful shoe. Got compliment the first day I wore them. AE is all I buy now in dress shoes.

Being the owner of several pair of Allen Edmonds I thought these would be the same outstanding pair of shoes. I have never had a pair that "squeaked" as these do, is it just my luck to have bought a pair that squeak's or have others experienced the same?
