These shoes are absolutely beautiful. The picture online does not do them justice. The first day I wore them I received numerous compliments. You must go into a store and witness for yourself. I normally wear a size 10 but in these shoes I wear a 9, so make sure you try them on. That being said, you now need head off to your local Nordstrom and buy these.

Wow, these shoes are incredibly solid. These are my first pair of Allen Edmonds shoes, and they won't be my last. These shoes seriously feel as tough as a pair of work boots.
I have the lighter brown color (walnut calf), and they are beautiful. The picture on this site doesn't really do them justice. They're actually a bit lighter than the picture, and there's really a great contrast between the stitching, design work, and leather. It might be a bit too contrasty for some, but I love it.
The only con that I can think of is that the shoes are a tiny bit bulky for my taste. I tend to typically buy Italian shoes that are a little sleeker and more angular. That being said, these shoes looked so great that I stepped out of my norm a bit to get them.

This is my third pair of Allen Edmonds shoes and the quality, craftsmanship and superior comfort never ceases to amaze me. The Strand model looks fantastic with navy and charcoal suits, khaki and even jeans. They mold to fit your feet providing support that stands the test of time. Everything about these shoes screams out style, luxury and craftsmanship. For anyone who appreciates quality, these are well worth the investment and they are handmade here in the USA!
