Fine shoe undermined by too-short laces

When you make an expensive shoe of fine quality, why would you finish it with laces so short it's not possible to tie a double knot? I have ten pairs of AE shoes and this is the first time I've encountered such an issue. Someone wasn't thinking.

This is my first pair of Allen Edmonds shoes. I wish I knew about how to pick and choose a dress lace shoe in my mid 20s. I probably already would have a collection of shoes. The process was simple and easy to order and the shipping came right away. I can not wait to stroll in my high end shoes.

Fit like a glove.

I bought these a month ago for an upcoming wedding. I wore them recently to “ break them in”, as new shoes sometimes need. I was really impressed with the way they felt right out of the box. They felt like I’ve been wearing them a long time. They fit like a glove. You can feel the quality and the craftsmanship. I would definitely recommend these to friends.

This is your Dad’s solid, dependable, no nonsense shoe. The styling is pedestrian and utterly unremarkable. Yet, it’s well made, comfortable and always appropriate. Sometimes boring is good. That’s the case with this shoe.
