I have purchased Allen-Edmunds shoes for over 50 yrs and have always been very satisfied with this world class product. I also know that I can send my shoes back to the factory for any serious maintenance issues.

AE is an iconic USA-made brand that has withstood the test of time and has not cheapened their labor to choose quantity over quality. The result? Very well made, stylish, durable, comfortable shoes that will last you a decade, with proper care. The Strands are no exception. They are beautifully crafted, and you can spot the AE quality marks a mile away.
The one thing to beware of is fit. This last (also used for the Fifth Avenues and Bartletts) runs NARROW. I'm usually a 10 D, but hearing these run narrow got a 9.5 E. when they came in the mail they were too tight and I had to go to a 9.5 EEE. I recommend trying fit in store. Then I recommend buying these!

I purchased the Strand in Walnut when they were on sale. A wonderful value. The shoe fit like the Park Avenue. Super comfortable out of the box. A sharp looking timeless shoe.
I highly recommend it.

Right side top is too high and caused blisters. This shoe fits different than same style in another color
