This is my 2nd pair of the style, the first pair was the dark chili color. These seem to be quality built, they fit well, and are very good looking. It takes a few days to break them, not that they are painful it is just that it takes some time for the cork insole to form to your foot. My only quibble is that this new pair did not come with the nice shoe bag that was included with the 1st pair that I bought.
Just the color. The fit is good. Color does not even come close to color of shoe on the Nordstrom web site. I’m going to find a place to dye them and if not able will buy a pair of custom shoes in Hong Kong with the correct color.

Quality control issues at Allen Edmonds?

I am a long-time fan of Allen Edmonds shoes, which are solid, mid-range shoes; the construction is good and the styles enduring. I was disappointed with this pair as the two shoes are constructed differently from each other -- the space between the bottom eyelet and the top of the vamp is twice as large on one shoe as the other. (Please see on the attached photo.) In fact, once seen, I can't stop seeing it and will not wear them again.
