Unfortunately I followed the advice and ordered up a cup size - not necessary. The cups have 2 layers and the top layer is looser than the underneath layer, although my usual D cup size may have worked fine. I did not increase the band size and the usual 40 fit fine.
My ribcage measures 36" and full bust 42.5". A 40D fits me 95% of the time in a Wacoal bra, yet their size chart says I need a DDD-DDDD cup size - no way!
The bra definitely lifts up and the inner sling pushes everything forward; it does the opposite of a minimizer bra, so if you want to look bigger than usual you may be happy with this. It is a full coverage bra in the correct size.
I have used this brand for years. Got my new bra with different cup sizes but same band size . I thought it looked odd so I laid it out next to my other bras and it is way shorter then my other bras. I also compared it to another brand new bras and same thing. I believe thus one was mislabeled. Returning.
