Jane Iredale was one of the first and she is still the best. Thank you Nordstrom for selling this hard-to-find product! Cannot gush enough!
I have slept, swum, sweated, and danced for hours with this make-up on. It lasts and lasts but does not clog pores! The mineral sunscreen works wonderfully without ashiness or stinging (I am very fair skinned); covers redness, rosacea, acne, dark under-eye circles without heaviness. Those who use retinoids or get skin peels will adore this makeup.
Yes, the makeup is super spendy. However, after trying to save money by using the competition, I always come back to Iredale. Easier and less messy to apply than the "swirl and tap brush" types of mineral makeup. Iredale's "Purepressed Base" is semi matte, not shiny, so it doesn't highlight wrinkles or flaws. It can be layered throughout the day without your face ending up like a disco ball. With all the airline restrictions, this powder compact, mascara and lipgloss is all you need for travel!
Only caveat-the colour line should be increased to include more skintones. Tones run on the yellow side and the colour chart online is misleading. The compact can be a bit heavy to carry in the handbag.
