I wasn't sure what to expect but this actually does take off all makeup! It leaves no residue and doesn't feel like it's stripping your skin. I didn't have to rub my skin raw and it easily took off all my makeup including mascara and very black eyeliner. It was not cleanable with hand soap though :/ but it did wash clean very quickly and easily with my blender cleanser solid which I had anyway for cleaning makeup brushes and sponges. So if you use a brush cleaner on it that should clean it easily. I love it such a simple quick way to take the day off your face.

Takes off makeup but...

I thought this was really cool, so I bought two after reading the reviews of others that purchased this. I can say that it takes off the makeup including mascara, however, I had to rub HARD to get the makeup off. Then once that was done, I had to scrub the heck out of the mitt to get the makeup off of it. I tried hand soap as suggested, no good. Tried Purity, and that was better, but the reason for getting this mitt was so I didn't have to get more cleanser. So basically it is a wash (ha-ha). I hope I am able to return the one I used along with the one that I was going to give as a gift (not).

I don't know how it is possible, but this is the best face cleanser that is not a cleanser ever! My face feels clean and makeup including mascara comes off with ease. As you put it to your face, you can feel it break through the makeup and you just know it is working. I love the face that there is no needs to soap or chemicals. The older I get the more sensitive my skin is and this is just perfect and for the price, why not. It is way less then what I have spent on scrubs, clothes and everything else I have tried to find this same clean.
