I was hesitant to try the matte, but I got it in a starter kit and fell in love. It goes on much more evenly than the original. It feels and looks very light yet it gives ample coverage and stays on all day.
I can never get over Bareminerals. I loved the regular formula and still have it but the matte is a go to around summer especially when my skin is oily.
I like this product overall and notice that my skin has been healthier with less breakouts since transitioning from my normal Maybelline foundation. I still get pretty shiny and blemishes show after a few hours and don't feel like this foundation holds up throughout a full work-day. It's also important that you find the right shade. I went to the store and had the BareMinerals employee match my skin tone but ended up with a few shades too dark which made me look very orange and it was very obvious by the end of the day as it was patchy and did not match my skin. I decided to give it another chance since this product has a good reputation so I ordered online recently and went down a few shades. I've been much happier so far. I'd still suggest reapplying halfway throughout the day, using a good primer, or possibly a makeup setting spray to extend the life a little longer.
As a huge Bare Minerals powder foundation advocate, I wanted to share it with my daughter. A Bare Minerals consultant recommended the matte foundation for her skin type due to oily areas which cause occasional breakouts. She loves the light, natural yet flawless coverage which does not dry her skin. An additional bonus is she has no more breakouts. Bare Minerals Matte Foundation is now the only foundation that she will use. Thank you Bare Minerals!
