I first tried the 'deep brown' hue earlier this year to match my naturally dark brows and I have to say, the color comes out very natural and has a powder look for those who are not into the waxy formulas. It's virtually fool-proof and lasts me all day, although it's not waterproof so don't count on it holding up through a humid summer or workout session. It's not cheap but for me, it beats out all the other brow pencils at similar price points. I used to swear by Lancome and Anastasia but Lancome was too heavy and didn't allow for layering, while Anastasia was a bit too dry. The one thing preventing the Shiseido brow pencil from being a true 5 star would be the awkward little brush at the end instead of the usual mascara comb; I find that this little brush just pushes the color around on your brow and doesn't help with brow shaping or creating a more feathered look. Despite this hiccup, I have restocked on this pencil; something I have never done with any other brow pencil before!
This has been my to go eyebrow filler for years. I do not use the brush side, instead I prefer using a separate lash brush. I'm giving it 4 stars because towards the end (about 1.5 inches) you're unable to sharpen the tip. The brush end prevents sharpener to fit. Of course you can use a knife but not ideal. I do recommend this pencil (black) for those with black hair and brows. Easy to use and blends well.
This is the best color of eyebrow pencil I have ever used. The pencil lasts a long time too - I have used every day for a year and still have about 1/4 of pencil left. I always restock favorites as I get close to using them up. The Natural Black color is definitely not black- it is more of a dark grey brown, no red tones at all. It is perfect for my coloring and looks very natural. I have almost black ash brown hair and most pencils look too red or brown on me. This color is perfect and looks very natural and not too dark. It also lasts all day for me.
