My mother used to use Creme de la Mer when I was little and said it was the best moisturizer in the world, so now that I’m old enough to afford and need it, I was incredibly excited to make my first purchase. I was immediately underwhelmed. The cream is unbelievably thick - so thick it pulls uncomfortably at my skin as I try to rub it in. And one needs to rub it in well because it turns your face white on application. The smell is very ordinary and uninspired. The entire product reminds me of cold cream. Will never spend $$ on this brand again.
