I think I've tried every moisturizer on the market, including the La Mer Cream, which wasn't great for me. I wouldn't have even tried this being that it's a gel, and I would think it wouldn't be moisturizing. Well, after trying a small sample, I'm hooked. I ordered the full size bottle immediately! My skin tends to get very dry and flaky in the Winter, and with this gel, my skin is smooth and radiant. I use it with the La Mer Treatment Lotion and my skin has never been healthier, happier or more vibrant. I'm thrilled! Totally worth the steep price tag.

Proslightweight, absorbs quickly
Okay so I have acne prone skin, have had since I was in my teens, but it got worse in my 20's and early 30's because of hormone fluctuations. Long story short, my skin is mostly under control because of perscripitions from my dermotologist, but now there is the added concern of wrinkles, texture, dark spots, etc. I've been using the La Mer Gel Cream for about a month and I really do see a difference. The small wrinkles I'm starting to develop (around my eyes) are less defined and my oily skin isn't quite as shiny. I had been using Oil of Olay and it really is too heavy for my skin and I was shiny for a good portion of the day. This stuff is mad expensive, but I think it might be worth it. I suggest getting a few samples from Nordstrom before you buy to make sure this is it for you.

Holds true to its claim - ultralight, cool, ideal for warm weather while providing nutrient-rich moisturization. I have sensitive skin that tends to get oily on the t-zone. This moisturizer is perfect because it is not greasy, doesn't make my skin oily, and does great layering with sunscreen, liquid foundation and sheer powder. I'm happy with it.
I use the soft cream formulation in colder months but will test the gel formula this coming winter. I live in Southern California where the weather doesn't get so cold & dry, so I hope it works for me so I can just buy one formulation that works all year long.
I’ve used La Mer on and off and tried a few gel cream samples. Love the lightweight texture, especially during summer months, the direct application without rubbing like the original, and great next day results when applied at night. However the scent is too strong, not crazy about the glass jar and the price point too high. I have great unscented skincare products at better value in hygienic travel friendly packaging. Surprised that a hygienic travel friendly tube of La Mer isn’t available by now.
