I bought my first pair some 5 plus years ago. The boots simply get more comfortable over time, adding character with each scuff or scrape. More than that, these boots have been my mainstay, even when learning to walk again after two knee replacements. I now have six pair of these boots and just love them. Well, almost. Two of the last three pair I purchased have developed verticle wrinkles or crease-like imperfections around the toe within the first few weeks of wear. For whatever reason, the smooth rounded portion at the toe cannot hold its smooth, rounded shape. Instead, during the initial break-in period, it appears as if something like a chisel has been dropped on the boot. I contacted Timberland directly via an online chat and was provided only a vague suggestion to mail in the boots so the manufacterer can inspect the boots. A picture would more than suffice. In any case, I was provided no remedy or even interest on the part of the manufacturer. Thankfully, Nordstrom stood by the purchase. But for those who shop elsewhere, be advised.
I was unsure about the cost of these boots but after trying so many other options over the years I decided to splurge. I'm so glad I did. They are amazing. Fit and finish looks great. They were packaged wonderfully. They are super comfortable. I'm looking forward to putting some miles in these sharp boots.
