Iconic & stunning fragrance

Thank goodness this is back in Archive as quite simply its a stunning, soft & fresh rendition of vanilla. Nothing sweet or cloying about this one, the fragrance is so alluring and the anise adds that little extra something. People never to fail to remark on this, its fresh, airy & very classy. I couldn't understand how this one was discontinued in the first place, especially as JM doesn't have any other vanilla fragrances. Unfortunately the body creme hasn't been resurrected, that was something really special too. I was slightly concerned about the other reviews on longevity or the fragrance itself; all I can say is the bottle I purchased in Feb 24 was as good as, if not better, than I recall and it does last throughout the day. A tip I read to enhance longevity is to spritz fragrance over a balm, a thin layer of something neutral like vaseline; it does make a difference as opposed to wearing fragrance on bare skin.

Proslove the scent
I don't know what happened, but the scent just doesn't last. People would stand close to,me to smell the fragrance and tell me how great it smelled. Now it dies before I get out the door. It was my signature.

Just love the smell it's really nice but it doesn't last at all. After 30 min I couldn't smell even on my skin. I'm mostly disappointed with the overall experience shopping online. Shipping arrived without a box again that happened to me twice so far, full of dirty finger prints and clearly used. For the price was expecting a lot more.

What is going on?

Let me start by saying I have been a Vanilla & Anise fan for years. So much so, that it became my signature fragrance. When I would wear this scent in my workplace, people wouldn't know I was there because they could smell me, and not in a bad way! The amount of compliments I used to receive on this scent - I couldn't count. When they retired V&A years back ... I was heartbroken. I couldn't find any bottles and I kind of let it go, but when Joe Malone announced they were bringing the scent back I was elated! I immediately purchased a bottle and for the most part it was almost the same as the original (before it was discontinued), but recently I have purchased replacement bottles and it has been a major let down. It has no lasting power or depth anymore, and I can barely smell it on myself. I know this to be facts because I have asked people to smell me and tell me if it is similar to how I used to smell and they all have told me that it's there, but not the way it used to be. So that lets me know that something is off with this scent. Please, please, please bring back the original scent. It was so gorgeous - what is going on with this scent??? I feel like when it was reintroduced something was changed, substituted or dropped from the formula and it is devastating. I wear other scents from Joe Malone, but my heart is with Vanilla & Anise and I am rooting for a comeback. I wish I could recommend this scent right now, but I just can't and now I'm sitting on multiple bottles of lackluster fragrance.
