Prosfeminine, long-lasting, sophisticated
I'd tried this as a sample originally and really liked it. The scent lasts on your skin all day. (One spray goes a long way). I was looking for something sweet with a bit of a kick. This has some spiciness too it but is also sweet at the same time. I see it as something a little different than what other people are wearing. Very sophisticated.
My favorite cologne, I wear it everyday! Would recommend to people looking for a warm vanilla scent with a little kick to it.

My chemistry and tastes have changed and nothing I used to like works for me any longer. I found a sample of the Vanilla Anise recently and tried it--wow! It was exactly what I had been trying to find without knowing exactly what that would be or what it would smell like. I wanted something sophisticated, yet warmly elegant with a little bite, subtle and multi-faceted. And that is exactly what I get with this little gem! The cologne is very light and lingers close to the skin...the creme is denser and richer, but completely true to the cologne, making a smooth transition from daytime to evening scent possible without totally changing out what was worn earlier in the day; the creme is a bit heavy for my day wear, but I love it in the evening, even just cuddling up with a good book. Even better, the more I wear this the better it smells on me and the more complexity seems to emerge....If you want people to think you smell good, this certainly fits the bill, but if you want them to notice your perfume, you'd be more satisfied looking elsewhere. Also, this is a warm scent you can sink into, but there is no hint of sweet, cloying or gourmand vanilla. This is vanilla all grown up and I, for one, could not be happier to have stumbled across it.

I pair this fragrance with Trish McVoy's #9 (Blackberry & Vanilla)-totally yummy! So soft and not over powering like a scent should be. I have compliments almost daily on the scent I'm wearing and men love it. I disagree with a negative statement about the lack of substance on the Jo Malone fragrance but then perfumes are highly personal and smell different on everyone! Try a sample first is always a good suggestions which is what I did. I've worn Trish McVoy #9 for probably 5 years and discovered the Jo Malone purely by accident by using a sample, now I use the two together.
