Disappointed in this. The description says it "deeply cleanses" but I don't feel that this is accurate. I have very oily skin, troubled by acne well into my 20s, and thought this might be a good new cleanser to try but I may go back to my old one when I run out of this. Not sure how much it affects others but since I have such excess sebum production, rubbing certain spots of my face such as the creases of my nose can give off a mildly unpleasant odor when I take a whiff. Going 8 hours from a morning cleanse with this Rare Earth Cleanser, the odor after rubbing the creases of my nose is definitely more present than it was when I was using my previous wash. That tells me the cleanser isn't doing a deep, thorough job in cleansing. I think it may be touting the Amazonian white clay as some super ingredient that can do all the work alone but I don't think it's effective. It needs stronger, medical ingredients like a higher concentration of salicylic acid to provide a true cleanse. For the more normal skin types, maybe this formulation is fine and it doesn't strip the skin, leave you dry and irritated. But for someone like me, it's a dud. I need a cleanser to cut away the excessive build-up on my skin and this doesn't do that.
Lovely product, gentle yet very cleansing. I feel like it really does get my skin clean and clear without drying it out a lot. If you have normal to oily skin, I completely recommend.
It’s my first time using this brand but I’m super impressed. I wish I’d started using it years ago. I have large pores and this cleaner is like magic, may face looks abs feels so clean!
