These jeans are a nice length- not ridiculous long, or ankle-biting short. I am 5'9". The wash is a deep denim blue that overall gives a slimming effect . So far I have only worn them once. There is a good amount of stretch in them and I do feel the waist band stretch out a bit to the point of me having to pull them up often. I did not have a belt on and maybe a belt is the way to go with these. Haven't washed them yet. I'd say they are true to size, I got a 29, maybe a little generous in the waist (and I'm not "small" waisted). They were very comfortable besides the pulling up. Medium/higher rise.
