I have quite a few Teva sandals but they are more for beach and outdoor use. This sandal with its multicolor woven straps is pretty enough for casual wear. I have worn it lightly so far because the ankle strap is very thin and it has started to fray a bit. It has also started to twist where it goes thru a plastic loop. So I now only use them for light use like shopping. I did put a bit of Fray Check on the ankle strap to reinforce it a bit. I still love the way they look but the upper strap needs to be thicker, like the lower one! I love their comfort and arch support by the way!
The Tirras have been my trusty "camp" shoe for countless mountain climbs and expeditions over the last 5 years, from the Eastern Sierras to Kilimanjaro to Everest Base Camp. I've also used them for easier hikes and river crossings, and travels where I'll need to do a lot of walking. The soles and velcro finally started to wear out, so I ordered a replacement and switched up the color. I have flat feet and other brands like Chaco just don't work for me. They did rub my baby toes a little raw on their first wear, but they've fine since, and I feel like the Velcro straps are stronger and more reinforced on this version 5 years later.
