I started using this because it's a product we carried at the doctors office where I worked. As an esthetician I appreciate the formula. As a makeup wearer I appreciate the shade and staying power. I am a loyal Nordstrom shopper so now I purchase through them.

Prosflawless, natural-looking
I am a long-time user of Jane Iredale -- have used the compact for YEARS but needed a change. Tried CHANEL AQUA VitaLumiere and Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk foundations -- both quite remarkable and beautiful finishes and feels for liquid foundation -- but felt too different for me after using mineral powder for so many years. So I decided to try the loose (weary of the mess) and I am AMAZED at the difference between this and the compact -- no comparison. The finish is like silk that just melts into your skin --looks completely natural -- and with a beautiful glow almost, hard to explain. It's just gorgeous -- my husband has been telling me all week how perfect my face looks, like I"m not wearing anything, that I have such great, natural looking color -- because your skin shines through -- yet it hides everything. This loose powder is perfection !!
I have used the Pure Pressed Base for many years. I love that product, but on a whim I thought I would try the Amazing Base. I was attracted to the "luminosity" effect stated in the description. Unfortunately, the coverage is way too sheer and it's just a lot of work to get enough product on the brush. I don't notice any luminescence either. I will go back to my tried and true Pure Pressed Powder.
