For reference, I am trying to find a switch from my Bare Minerals Original Foundation (medium beige shade). I used it for years and loved it's coverage but it seems to be clogging my pores anymore. I purchased a few different loose powder options that seemed similar from Nordstrom.com. So far I like this, but I don't love it. I think the Dior Invisible Glow Powder is a little better coverage and lasts longer on my face. For comparison though, nothing seems to stay on my face as long as my BM did, unfortunately. I do like that you can puncture however many holes you want open so you don't open the canister and it all dumps out (or the dreaded vacation where it is knocked around and half is wasted once open!). Never tried it over foundation for a more full coverage look, so can't speak there.
I have been using this product for years and always come back to it as my #1 favorite. The buildable coverage is weightless on my skin. I have very acne-prone skin, but this is one of the only foundations that never ever breaks me out. The best bonus is the spf protection. Warm Silk is also the best match to my natural coloring. Hands down the best mineral loose powder makeup on the market. Of course it's a bit more expensive than others, but a little goes a long way and one jar lasts for months and months of daily use. Totally worth it for an all around quality product.
I have dry skin and battling some acne now and Jane Iredale powders have been amazing for creating a natural look and concealing imperfections. Cream based foundations just end up caking and making my dry skin flake more. I like the base powder in the morning and then touch up with the pure pressed powder. The golden glow shade is a little darker than the same shade in the pressed powder.
