Bought this for a spring wedding and found it to be perfect. I recently gained some weight and could not wear the dresses in my closet. I purchased this in a 12 and it fit well. It probably runs a little large (which is good for me right now).
I ordered this dress in a 14 first, thinking, after reading the reviews, that it ran large and that size would fit. (I am 5'8" and not slim-figured anymore but the few dresses in my closet are 12s and 14s.) After it came and I tried it on, I found it to be a little too snug across the shoulders and chest. The material does stretch some but it just wasn't a comfortable fit. So I swallowed my pride and re-ordered the next size up, hoping to go with whichever of the two works best. The 16 came today and it is a great fit! I will be sending the 14 back. I am learning not to care what the size number is but "does it look good on me?" and "is it comfortable?" With the style and material of this dress #and I ordered it in viola# I think it will still look nice after I lose 15-20 pounds. ;)

Beautiful Dress--but not for tall women

The dress is beautiful and would be great for traveling with the jersey fabric. I am a tall person (5' 10") and much of my height is from the waist up. The size 12 was too large and the size 10 didn't have enough length in the bodice to sit properly in the bust area. Reluctantly I returned both sizes. Hopefully Suzi Chin with make a tall version of this dress.
I ordered one size up and it was a good fit. And I really wanted to like this dress - beautiful, rich blue (I ordered Tidal), just-right fabric weight and drape. The style just did not flatter me in the least. I returned it.
