i just recieved these and am instantly in love! this is my first pair of Dr. Marten's and i must say im very impressed. these look indestrucable! i advise to NOT size up, like some other reviews said. i'm a size 8 1/2 - 9 and 8 fit with room to spare at the toe. i am NOT skinny, and the calf circumfrence was perfect. With some breaking in, im sure these will be an absolute perfect fit. very happy with this purchase

Great Boot

Proscomfortable
I am an 8.5 shoe size and since these only come in whole sizes I followed the advice about sizing down. It took a couple days of wearing for the boot to break in around the ankle and arch but they fit great. I have a somewhat wide foot and short toes and 9s are simply too long. The leather is forgiving so the 8s work for my wider/shorter foot.
These are very comfortable and I just want to wear them all the time. The leather cleans easily with a swipe of a cloth. I've trugged through snow and rain and they still look good. Will get another style of Dr. Martens in the future.
In one week I've gotten lots of compliments by friends and strangers. They are versatile shoes and can be dressed up with leggings and a skirt/dress or down with jeans. I love them!
