I bought this elegant black three quarter dress for my daughters wedding soon, and tried it on...it sleekly slid down my body till in place. such softness and easy fit. hugs my curves without enhancing my weight. very very flattering dress. the bodice is a wee bit heavy but comfortable to wear, and looks beautiful and since i have a full chest, it holds up nicely. Yes would definitely recomend this beautiful dress. Can't imagine it in an off white or navy colors- that too would be super.

I was excited to receive this dress due to all of the positive reviews. It is a lovely dress, but I found it a little matronly looking. It is shapeless, and "just hangs". Perhaps if it were on "clearance", I would have kept it as a backup dress. It is heavy too, due to the beading.

Prossexy and svelt!

The picture does not do this dress honor...I'm a 53 year-old broad shouldered woman whose measurements are 43-38-44 and this dress makes me look svelt and sexy! I purchased this dress to wear as a matron-of-honor in a wedding for another "mature" bride. The beading is fantastic, and the sleeves and bottom of the dress irregularly shaped and very flattering. I do not like to go sleeveless and this is perfect for me! I said the dress was true to size, but actually thought I would need a 14w vs a 16w...If you're in between measurements and are broad shouldered, I'd definitely go with the bigger size, which is recommended. I totally enjoyed talking w/ the Nordstrom shopping consultant while I was on-line, and she was extremely helpful!
I also purchased a Spanx Bra/body shaper combo that is a very smoothing undergarment and the straps for the bra don't show with this dress.
I don't live near a Nordstrom's and looked at literally thousands of dresses on-line. I am very picky when it comes to clothes and feel that this dress is totally flattering to my body shape and fits my style. This was the only dress I ordered. I highly recommend it for "broad broads!"

My son is getting married in may...I went to Nordstrom's and they did not have the dress..I went online and it was on backorder...my heart sunk...but after many trys the dress appeared online and I purchased it....It was gorgeous..the fit was great..I am so happy with this dress.
