Eventually these will be for outdoor wear but not on snowy days. In the meantime, my 16-month-old is ecstatic to put these on every day and toddle around the house in them. Often when he wakes up in the morning, he walks around the house saying "boots!" until we find them and put them on his feet. He is just as happy to wear them with bare feet as he is with socks. The sole is well-made, and prevents him from slipping on our hardwood floors. They are easy to slip on and off, never shed, and are a beautiful chestnut color. What more could you ask for?

I always these for a new baby gift, I buy a bigger size so they can grow into them. BUT, the price is high for an item that a child will only wear for a very short amount of time. they are almost as much as an adult pair, with a lot less material.
