Roller Derby
PostedAugust 24, 2010
Prosterrible
Don't buy this unless you want to play Roller Derby all day. By this I mean it will roll up around your waist within minutes of putting it on, assuming that you breathe and walk around upright. If you don't do either of these activities then you will be okay and the thing won't ride up around your waist where it will stay until you pull it back down which is about every 30 seconds. I wore this to a job interview under my Armani dress and thank goodness the Armani dress was an umpire waist so as to hide the extra 4 inches of material around my waist. This was NOT the look I was hoping for. At the airport I went into the restroom and finally took the dang thing off and stuffed it into my purse hoping that Security wouldn't bust me for carrying spandex onto the plane. Truly, do NOT buy this unless you will be laying in a coffin.
By the way, I didn't get the job. Hope it wasn't because of the Spanx!

Shapes well if standing still
PostedJuly 27, 2010
I've tried this in a small and a medium (5'8, 134, size 4) and each time it shaped beautifully as long as I was standing still, withing a few minutes of walking around it slides up and bunches around my waist. I've known other women this doesn't happen to, but I think you have to have a straighter or apple shaped figure for this to work. I have wider hips (38 inches) and smaller waist (25 inches), since the material wants to constrict as tight as possible the material pushes upward to the smallest part of my figure resulting in an unsightly bulge. I've tried this so many times. The older Spanx half slip does work a little better, but still rides up a little. I love the Spanx tights though!

UGH! These are not the spanx I love!

Prosdisappointing!
I have a spanx half slip that I bought at last year's Anniversary Sale - it's from the Hide and Sleek line. I bought this one because I love the Hide and Sleek half slip and wear it constantly. I wore this once and HATED it. It rolls terribly - in both directions, from the bottom up and the top down. I was tugging at it all day long. I am so disappointed in the Slimplicity line. I tried the full slip and experienced the same rolling.

Proswaste of money, nightmare
This slip is very smoothing and slimming...However, I does not stay put at all!! I wore this under a sundress and all day I had to tug it down or unroll the waist.. I finally just gave up and took it off.. Going to exchange it for the Hide & Sleek which is the one I originally wanted but Nordstrom did not have the size I needed at the time.. Ladies stay away from Simplicity!!
