I love the concept of the original Spanx, but I cannot wear them. They roll down, no matter what size I wear. I tried buying bigger sizes, and the rolling continued. Some people cannot wear the original Spanx simply because of the way their body is shaped. The original Spanx fit me great in the thighs and hips, but because of the rolling at the waist, I had to return them. Salesperson suggested I try Skinny Britches instead and voila - they fit great, no rolling and they feel wonderfully light, especially nice for the warm weather seasons. If you want a lot of compression, these aren't for you, because they provide only a light smoothing. Basically I wanted something to smooth my clothes and eliminate VPL. They suggest you "layer" Skinny Britches for more compression, but that seems counterproductive to comfort. I intend to buy more and actually replace my underwear with these. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because of the price. I don't get it how these can cost twice the amount of regular Spanx? At this price, hopefully they will last a very long time. BTW, I am a size 12-14 and I got XL. Unlike other posters here, I found them very true to size.

Proswonderous, and comfy
Skinny britches is a wonderful concept for those of us who love the idea of spanx but are not crazy about the feeling of wearing a scuba suit. I bought my pair online with an approximate idea of an ideal size. I received my first new pair and was really thrilled at the thought of taming the issues that I see but others may not. When I put them on I loved them. Unitl I moved and rolling started. I mean the rolling of the spanx fabric down on one side that seems to have a bit more cushion on me. I am an average weight/height, size 6 woman with some small curves and the rolling of the fabric only emhanced the rolling I wanted to cover up. So, if you have never bought spanx, I would say buy your first pair in store rather than online to ensure proper sizing and avoid pesky returns. I WILL be heading to a store to try again! I think these are great!

I was looking for some toner briefs that wouldn't show panty lines, and wouldn't be too tight, thick, or hot. This product "fits the bill". Order a size larger for comfort.

For the longest time, I have been looking for a pair of underwear like this. No VPLs, and also not a 'slimming' product where I can barely breathe. Fortunately I am a size small to medium, so ordering a size XL provided comfort without being too tight.
