Prosvery nice
This coat is good quality and boasts fabric that is a little heaver than others. Because my previous trench always seemed like it needed adjusting and styling and fussing, I liked this coat's classic lines, single button closure and the lack of flaps and cuffs and shoulder adornment. It is also a little longer than most mid-length trenches, offering better coverage in the rain and wind and reducing the amount of hem when worn over dresses. Unfortunately, for me this particular shade of camel washed me out, and I chose to exchange for something else.

I'm a size 2 and the XS was too loose or bulky on me. I didn't like that you can only tie the belt. Made me feel like I'm wearing a sack. Just not tailored enough for me. The fabric, according to the tag, is real high tech, but it just doesn't drape nicely. Also, there were random strings hanging uncut, but I'm a real detail nut, so it might not bother others.

Prosclassic, flattering
This raincoat appealed to me because it is not double-breasted like most trench coats, yet it still had the classic trench coat look. In other words it seemed easier to wear than the usual trench coat, but was timeless in styling. I also liked the detachable hood. I am very pleased with the purchase now that I have tried it on. I am small-shouldered, and it fits me well, so folks with average-sized shoulders may want to size up. The fabric is a little sturdier than that in some raincoats, but it is not stiff, shiny, or crinkly--and it is genuinely waterproof. I predict that this will be a wardrobe staple.
