I bought this in a champagne color for my daughters August wedding. It is a stunning dress even more so then a picture can possible portray. In the Hotel lobby where the wedding reception was being held, strangers including men (I'm 65 wearing an extra large) were giving me compliments on the stunning dress I was wearing. I bought the 1x for bust measurement but needed the lower half taken in. I am bigger on the top then in the hip area; although the manufacturer suggests not to alter, I did have an amazing seamstress in La Jolla, Ca UTC fit this dress to me. I LOVED IT Worth every penny
I am a small busted size 10. The dress was a bit large in the bust for me, but was a good fit overall. I did have a minor alteration to improve the fit of the bodice. It is comfortable, stylish and the jacket adds a very flattering shapely look. I bought it to wear to my son's wedding and received dozens of compliments. I think even my new daughter in law liked it. This is good news because she had been quite concerned about what I might wear.
Beautiful dress, fabulous color. Unfortunately, the bodice was just over sized enough to bother me, and the sleeves were too full at the wrist for my liking. The dress fabric and construction are such, that in my opinion, it does not lend itself to being altered where I would need the work done. That said it made the short list of three, out of about 20 dresses, and if I had kept it, I would have worn it as is. Instead I opted for a shorter dress by Alex. P.S. But, this soul mate dress was my husbands favorite!
