Why the hype?

Prosdisappointing
I was pretty excited to get this home and try on with a body-hugging dress I'm wearing on a trip to Las Vegas, but was very disappointed. This did not hold me I at all. I looked pretty much the same in my dress without this on. I was hoping to have a little more of my middle 'sucked in,' but I guess I'll wear my dress without this particular product. The search continues, perhaps with a different brand.

Prosrestrictive
I tried this item on at home and had a difficult time making it feel comfortable. I was to wear it with a dressy dress to a wedding. Because the weather at the wedding was over 100 degrees and the wedding held outdoors, I opted not to wear the Spanx. It was too hot to wear such a garment for several hours and I would have been very uncomfortable the whole time. I had heard that Spanx was the way to go for tummy and thigh control, but just not for me.
I will be returning this item to Nordstrom. I did not wear it, only tried it on at home.

Proscomfortable
I would buy this item again, even though it is a little big. I am 5'2" and have a short torso so I have about two inches I have to fold over. If only I was taller!! I hesitated buying this because I have bought several spanx and never quite enjoyed wearing them. This one has some wonderful material that is light and breathable. Easier on and off.
