Solid Material but Not Slim Fit

I'm a slim guy and felt this suit was a little too big for me. The shoulder pad is a little thicker than normal and the bicep area is somewhat larger. I had a lot of tailor work done on this suit which included moving the shoulder in, tapering of the pants, shortening of the pants length, shortening of the sleeves' length, and tapering mid-body area. The final result still has the bicep puffiness...other than that, it looks decent on me. I just don't think it's slim fit enough though. Perhaps modern fit is more appropriate.

Great Navy Suit
PostedAugust 19, 2012
Prostrue navy
This is a moderately slim fit suit. Pants are a great fit even for my slim build. Though I really like an even slimmer cut for casual, this 'modern fit' is just what I was looking for an upcoming more formal event.

AMAZING

Prostrendy, fashionable, closet staple
This was my first navy suite purchase. Went into the store and saw several navy suits, the cut and shape of this one was by far the best. fit like a glove and only needed a small alteration to the sleeve length, no biggy. Great suit for anyone professional or not. Every man needs this kind of suit in there closet. Works for any event dressed up or down.

The Best Slim Fit Navy All-Season Suit
PostedMay 17, 2012
Prostop-notch, tailor-made
I really like this suit, however, mine had a single vent compared to the other reviewer whose suit came with a double vent. Since this was the only stretch navy wool suit description available, I hope I'm reviewing the same suit.
This suit is perfectly tailored. I'm a perfect 42R so I didn't require any alteration except for the pant hem. I too, like the small details such as the pitch stitching. And the color of this suit is a true navy, not a black-navy which I have when compared this suit to that navy-black Hugo Boss suit I have.
Again, the tailoring is amazingly perfect. It's nothing like Armani tailoring, whose suits look to architecturally tailored and depict a stiff appearance on me. Hugo Boss offers a Red Label Sharp Jam and a Black Label Sharp Jam. You have to be super skinny to fit into and pull of the Red Label which may appear trendy fitting. However the Black Label is a slim fit as well, but more classic and constructed for an athletic build desiring a slim fit.
I just hope that flat front pants is not just a fad or fashion phase. I hope it's here to stay. I plan on purchasing one or two more Hugo Boss Suits. I wouldn't want to invest on something that will go out of style.
