Not Really Trim Fit

The material and color of this suit are really beautiful, but the cut of the suit isn't what I'd consider "Trim Fit", and both the jacket and pants run large. I ordered the suit in my correct size, but when I took the suit to a trusted tailor, her opinion was that both the jacket and pants would have to be extensively modified to fit me. Suits of the same size I tried from other makers fit with just sleeve and pant hem alterations. The leg width of this suit was about an inch wider than that of another suit I have that is trim fit. Due to the poor fit, I had to return the suit.
