Normally I never buy a dress that I have not tried on, but I took a chance and ordered this one. It is a lovely dress and very comfortable! The neckline and sleeves fit beautifully and are very flattering. The dress looks lovely from the back too. It fits well. I may need to have it altered to be a little more fitted in the waist, but that is not the fault of the dress. I tried on the dress and a young man who was visiting in my home blurted out "Wow! What a pretty dress!" I believe this dress has an ageless look and would be beautiful on women of any age. The beading is of good quality and the dress is elegant. The knee length is nice. Both my son and my daughter are getting married next summer and I believe this dress will be perfect for me as a mother of the bride or groom.

I ordered this dress in two sizes. The zipper on one of the dresses was ready to pull apart. The other zipper was more intact but appeared weak. I believe another reviewer reported the same. I suggest Nordstroms examine all of these dresses before sending them out- especially if they have been returned once. The dress is nice but I would prefer the shoulder area of the sleeves to be higher than the bottom of the sleeves, to get a true "cap" effect. The sleeves are very pretty but hang at an unflattering length. I would recommend giving yourself plenty of time when ordering this for an important event. If you decide to keep it, you may need altertations.

I loved the style and color (champagne) of this dress for my daughter's upcoming summer outdoor wedding~ June 2013. I ordered both a size 14 and a 16 because I am quite busty. The empire waist on both dresses could not accomodate my bust size. This dress runs small, so order one size up. Unfortunately, I had to return both dresses and still on the hunt for the "perfect" dress, which I thought I had!

The only thing is that it looks darker on the website than it does in person. On the web it looks greyer to me, in person it is more cream colored.
