My daughter is getting married in June and I have been searching for the perfect dress for "mother of the bride" for several months. When I saw this dress on-line and read the comments about the dress I had the feeling this could be the one. My daughter liked it too so I ordered it. When I ordered the dress it was suppose to be on backorder until mid May, then it said the dress was due in by the end of April. A few hours after ordering the dress I received an email saying it had shipped. My daughter is getting married in the evening, I did not want a long gown so this is perfect. It is very nice looking and will be a beautiful compliment to her gown.

A very elegant dress that is very feminine yet makes a statement- I ordered a 10 for my daughter's wedding and have now ordered an 8 with hopes of a little snugger fit but it is acceptable the way that it is -- Good thing I ordered well before the June wedding as both sizes were on back order Also I am 5'2"-- although the dress hits well below the knee-- it looks fine as a tea length with a nice heel

I ordered this dress as a "mother of the bride dress" for my daughter's wedding. I liked the younger look of it online, compared to the dowdy dresses normally shown in this category. I was quite diappointed with this dress when it arrived, as the color is dark tan, not the champagne color I expected. Although the sizing is TTS and the quality excellent, the heavy beading gives it a 20's flapper look, more like a costume. I am hoping that, in the future, Nordstroms will offer more choices of young, special occasion dresses for the 40 and up woman, who wants a beautiful, youthful, but not slinky, dress for a wedding or other dressy event.
