Great Fit and Finish
PostedFebruary 6, 2018
This is the first shoe (both colors) which the minute I put them on right out of the box fit like a dream. The leather quality and the finish was so good I knew that Allen Edmonds shoes will never be replaced in my closet. Thank You.

Everything you need to know
PostedJanuary 7, 2018
I feel the need to review this shoe now that it seems to be getting more attention, in the hope that it may help some people out.
There is talk about the 65-last being the "longest last." Not true. Prior to the 65-last, there existed another last known as the 333, which was significantly longer. Well...guess what? Despite there being no numerical designation given to the last used by the Firenze, rest assured, from a die-hard life-long AE veteran (myself), this shoe is built on AE's LONGEST last.
As a personal reference, I measure as a 7.5C. I generally buy all my AEs in a 7D. I can allow for the C to D width because I am also stuck with high arches. The Firenze ran SO LONG, and the leather used was so soft there was nothing to deal with in terms of the arch/vamp fit, I literally was walking out of a 7D, with it falling off my feet. I'm almost certain a 6.5D would have worked but since the Italian collection starts at 7D, I could never wear these.
These are VERY nice looking shoes. If you have narrower than a D-width, my guess is like myself, you will find these extremely long and problematic. You may need to go down a full size from brannock length (which for me is extremely unusual). If you routinely have trouble with arch issues, you probably won't here; similar to the Verona/Arezzo, the leather is so soft/supple it shouldn't give you much of an issue. I will note though: the outsole, while very soft, looks like it isn't the mini-lug used by the Arezzo, meaning it doesn't look like it's built to last. Something to take into account.
If you can fit this and are looking for a casual-ish shoe to wear maybe during better weather months, these look like a really nice option. Bummed I can't get onboard.

Very satisfied
PostedNovember 14, 2017
This is a comfortable shoe and I like the style that can be worn with almost anything. It fits differently than my ae dress shoes. I normally wear 10.5 e, and got this one in 11d and it fits perfectly.

Good not Great
PostedAugust 16, 2017
Really nice shoes overall, leather is soft, comfortable with no break-in period. Two things for me that have held this shoe back from great. First the soles wore very quickly especially the heels. Second the shoe stretched a lot, so much so they tend to flop around on my feet. I might blame this on the softness of the leather but I have various pairs of Ferragamos having supple leather and never stretch.
Overall I am satisfied as these shoes have held up well over the years I have owned them.
