I LOVE these pants. I am nowhere near petite but the regular size in these pants is too "boxy-big" for me. I am 5-4 and fluctuate between 0 and 2 but always regular cut. Tried the petite version of these and viola!! just right. The fabric is just the right stretch and hold up wash after wash. Length is good too...I'm a big fan of just above the ankle. The stretch at the waist is just enough too. Going back for a 3rd pair. Yes they are pricey, but a staple you will go to again and again.

I own three pairs of these pants and would buy more if there were other colors. They wash and wear excellently, great for travel. They are slim enough but not at all tight. That said, those seeking a sleek look would probably do better with another style. These are 'sensible' yet stylish pants, as are many of E. Fisher styles. The weight and amount of stretch is perfect for most seasons except Winter, The length of the Petite Medium is exactly right for me at 5'2" They are a little loose around the mid-rise waist but a smaller size would be too tight in the hips for me, but perhaps not for a younger woman or someone who has less differential between hips and waist. I weigh 117 lbs.
Basically, these are my go to pants for casual living to wear with all untucked blouses and tops.

I bought the right size but even though these are petite pants, I felt they were too long - at my ankles not above. I also felt like they were too "old lady-ish" - kind of baggy or loose fitting overall. I will say they are very comfortable but I returned them because they were not what I was really looking for.
