This is messy, but not a deal breaker for me. Just put a towel around your shoulders. I do think that you need a clarisonic or similar product to make this effective. The powder brings the gunk to the surface and the clarisonic removes it.
Was amazed at how smooth my skin was the minute I wipe the powder off: the blackheads have disappeared! But by the next day they were back! So it seems the powder more covers the blackheads than truly removes them. I've used the product 3x now and the same happens each time. There has been some overall improvement to "baseline" but nothing permanently miraculous. It is somewhat similar to the effect I get using st Helene's mint julep mask. Too bad for short lived results but I will continue to use.
