these are supposed to be petite jeans, but they are anything but. first, they are way too tight. I'm normally a 24, but ordered them in a 25, and still too tight. second, they are very long, not petite at all. what's the point in ordering petite when you still have to get them hemmed? returned them already.

No doubt that Hudson's are great jeans. Amazingly soft and easy to slid into. It all comes down to preference. The jean is more light weight than I like. When I wear a jean I want to be in a "jean". Being short makes it rough because even with a petite cut hemming is required. However the wash would make an easy alteration. Sometimes the wash of the jean is executed when you hem at the exaggerated rate that is required for my inseam (29). I didn't like that the pocket wears so low on the behind - trailing to the hamstring. It all comes down to preference. Definitely a nice jean if you prefer a lightweight.

I love the fit, softness and color of these jeans. I wear a 27 in Joe Jeans and in Paige Premium. I am 5' 5" and 124 lbs with a 31" inseam. I ordered a 27 and 28 in these because they were petite and a lot of the reviews said they ran big and stretched out a lot. The 27 was pretty tight and a little too short for my taste even though they were a 31" inseam. I like the fit of the 28 much better. They are not long enough to wear heals with, but will be great with flip flops and ballet flats. Very cute...a must have.
