After seeing bareMinerals' logo everywhere for a few years and on a few infomercials, I finally bit and tried out their foundation. I absolutely LOVE it and now finally get what all the commotion is about. It goes on ultra creamy, layers fairly well, feels light, and the coverage is AMAZING. I used to use the heavier Clinique acne foundation but have moved away from using it almost entirely: The only time I use my old stuff anymore is when I want heavier-duty coverage, so I'll put that liquid foundation on first and then layer with this. Works amazingly, highly recommended. This is now my permanent go-to foundation.
P.S. The SPF is also AMAZING. My boyfriend and I went to California for an extended weekend recently and walked around theme parks all day for many hours. I wore my bareMinerals foundation, he wore nothing at all, not even sunblock. He ended the weekend beet red while I didn't have a SINGLE sore or red spot on my face or neck. I'm not exaggerating, I was EXTREMELY impressed with that. I never paid attention to that, but that weekend opened up my eyes to looking for SPF coverage in beauty products, and now I love the foundation even more.
bareMinerals foundation is incredible. I live by it. It goes on so light and it feels like you aren't wearing any make up, but the coverage is outstanding and it gives you a natural look rather than a "caked-on" look. LOVE IT!
This product is advertised as sheer coverage that looks natural. It is anything but natural looking unless you are going for the mannequin look. It is thick looking and is really hard to remove as well.
I returned this after just trying it on. Never did wear it out of my bathroom. Never would either.
Also if you have skin that is even a little sensitive this is really not for you. It has a slight burn to it. Not as much as their skin lotions but it is there. I took the lotions back as well. Now I understand why Nordstrom's is not going to carry their products any longer after December.
Feels like you aren't wearing makeup and evens out your skintone nicely. I hadn't used Bare Minerals before, but I'm glad I gave it a try. The best part was, I purchased this online with the help of a beauty consultant, and the person I spoke to helped get me the perfect color!
