Annoying waistband

My husband loves how comfortable these are but the waistband got completely twisted around upon washing and now doesn't lie flat. You'd think this would have been addressed given the cost for a pair of lounge pants. Disappointing! Would not buy again.

Purchased the short style for summer wear & love them so went with the lounge pants for colder weather.
