Burberry Jacket
PostedNovember 16, 2013
Prosgreat runs small
This Burberry jacket is everything the famed retailer is known for--style, usability, and of course, the Burberry logo! However, this jacket runs very small! I am 5'4"" and 132 pounds and I got a large. I ordered an XXL (thanks to my Nordsrom's associate who found one for me) for my sister, who is 5"8" and 145 pounds. We both found these sizes to be perfect. These are definitely not the sizes we usually wear-I'm an 8 and she is a 10-12. But, we do love our jackets, as they are perfect for our Southern winters!

Prosnice jacket
I read the reviews about it running small, so ordered one size up and then it was too big. Also, the color wasn't what I expected. I returned this item, but if it had been a size smaller and the color I expected, I would have kept it. It's a beautiful jacket!

Classic piece!

Prosversatile, classic
It's a beautiful and well-made jacket that I think will last for years. I have four other quilted jackets, but they are all made of the lighter-weight quilting material (Kencott weighted). I think this one is just as warm. This runs the largest of all the quilted jackets I own and have tried on. I purchased the small and it had a lot of room in the arms. It was also boxy fitting, even with the faux-belt cinched in the back. It's still a good fitting jacket, I'm able to wear a blazer underneath and still able to button it up all the way. Usually, the jackets are tight around the chest area, but this one did not have that problem. I'm 5'5 and 130 pounds, for reference. I also tried on the xs and while the fit was much cuter, I was not able to button it up comfortably and I certainly was unable to wear a blazer underneath comfortably.
I would recommend the Kencott style over the Copford. The Kencott is a lot more modern, fits better, lighter in weight (but equal in warmth). Both have the check print all the way down the arms, so you can show off the Burberry check pattern when you cuff up the sleeves. Sadly the Kencott doesn't have a lot of color options so if you prefer a colored quilted jacket, then go with the Copford. It's a must-have jacket for Burberry fans, and very versatile for different weather conditions.

Beautiful BURBERRY JACKET

Prosversatile, comfortable, trendy, classic
Though this fits true to size, I gave it only a 4 star because the sleeves were long. It didn't come in petites. So I have to fold the sleeves over twice since my arms are short. Overall, I love the jacket. The thickness is just right, not too thick, not too thin. Great for fall, summer and spring but not for winter. The price is right. I got it on sale. I told my friends about it and they went to Nordstrom to get it.
